With concerts and bars shutting down, superstars across the country are live streaming performances from their homes during this time of social distancing. From Instagram to Facebook a wide range of artists are giving viewers something to look forward to (check out a what is happening here). Grammy award winner John Legend is one of many streaming live music for viewing pleasure. Legend performed today and is helping spearhead #TogetherAtHome. Global Citizen described #TogetherAtHome as,"a series of online concert performances hosted on artists social media platforms to fight coronavirus and promote social distancing."

Miley Cyrus is hosting a new daily series, #BrightMinded on IGTV. She talks with special guests such as Demi Lovato, trying to inspire people during this rough time. This is a way to take peoples' minds off all the negativity that is occurring in the media, and to share their life experiences to uplift others. This is something I am definitely interested in and it worthy of checking out. Also, check out Lovato's new single, "I Love Me" it is fire.
Luke Combs also performed on Facebook and Instagram some of his songs from his new album What You See Is What You Get. Most live videos stay up for 24 hours so you still have time to check out performances from today.
This is only the beginning of performances and other entertainment to be shared on socials as we practice social distancing. Garth Brooks announced he will be performing on March 23 on his weekly Facebook series, "Inside Studio G", at 7 p.m. ET. He will have his guitar to take requests and play up to an hour. I am sure there is plenty more entertainment to come. Check social media or give it a Google search and you will find fun entertainment during these next few weeks.
I think this is a great way for high school and college level performers to still share their gift also. In most cases classes have now moved online and this is especially hard on those focused around the arts. Being a college student I know how heartbreaking this has been, especially choir being cancelled and the end of my collegiate singing coming to an abrupt end. For those of you feeling the same way, be creative and don't be afraid to share your gift.
